Calculate copper variation and invoice differences based upon daily copper price fluctuations
In the cable sector, quotations are calculated by means of a basic copper price since the copper price is subject to daily fluctuations. When receiving an order, the price used is the latest copper price. As this is almost never the same as the basic copper price, the invoiced amount is thus either higher or lower.
In the following, you can calculate the effect the difference between the price at the time of the quotation and the price at the time the order is received (price as per invoice) will have on the invoice you get.
Explanation
As the copper price at the time of the order intake was abovebelow the price in the quotation, the invoiced amount is € higherlower.
If you have used our calculation program to compare two quotations, the difference means that you have to add € to the amount given in the quotation using the lower copper price in order to be able to compare it with the other quotation.
