Design / Engineering

We have the ability to accompany the development of the Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and manage both the Design-to-Build and Build-to-Print processes from one source.

Digital Mock-Up (DMU)

Our design process continues on receipt of the 3D model, which contains the mechanical and electronic components. Our engineers install the wiring system (Cable Routing) in the Digital Mock-Up files (e. g. CATIA V5) that are provided by the customer.

  • Integration of cable connections including supports within the digital mock-up (DMU)
  • Determining the cable lengths
  • Adherence to EMC requirements

The high level of flexibility offered by the CATIA software makes it possible to import a multiplicity of CAD data via translation formats (for example, UGS via STEP).

Design-to-Build

The 3D data resulting from the cable routing process is exported to a drawing set which is required by the production process (cable assembly). In order to avoid the interface problems that can arise when a particular “software environment” is left, we also use CATIA software in this production step. The pin-to-pin assignments are integrated as a result of importing the connection data.
