Cable system from LEONI for control, power supply and data transmission
When it introduced the MAMMOMAT NovationDR in 2003, SIEMENS Medical Solutions established a milestone in digital full-field mammography. The workflow-optimised complete solution offers all the necessary features in a single device, from screening, diagnosis and biopsy to the post-processing of digital images and their archiving.
From the outset, LEONI has supplied and assembled the cable system for the wiring of the entire system. This encompasses both control and power supply, as well as data transmission, which, because of the special requirements in terms of image quality, runs via a corresponding high-pressure coaxial connection. The cable harnesses, which are approved according to various AWM styles and UL standards, are produced on a fixing board designed especially for this purpose.
Comprehensive logistics service and continuous quality assurance measures, such as homologation, follow-up tests, dielectric tests and four-terminal measurements round off LEONI’s service spectrum.
In addition to the many years of successful cooperation with LEONI, the main criteria when choosing a partner to provide the wiring for the MAMMOMAT NovationDR from SIEMENS’ perspective were adherence to schedules and quality and, not least, the bundling of expertise in the areas of design, system technology, production, assembly and service.
